The papers of a social activist, author, editor of Letter Magazine (Tucson, Arizona), and founder of the Little Chapel of All Nations. The bulk of the papers are family letters or materials concerning the Peirce timberlands. Included also are copies of Ada Peirce McCormick's magazine Letter, magazine articles and clippings, correspondence, genealogies, wills, diaries, and photographs.

Biographical note: Ada Peirce was born in Maine in 1888. She married Fred McCormick in 1915 and they moved to Tucson in 1931. She founded the Little Chapel of All Nations in 1937, and was a crusader for human rights and social justice issues. She died in Tucson in 1974.
